Location
KaWo 3 is one of three dormitories in the KaWo district, next to Campus Melaten in the west of Aachen.
Within walking distance are the Informatikzentrum, the Hochschulsportzentrum (HSZ), the Westbahnhof and the auditorium building C.A.R.L. In the other direction you find the Campus Melaten with many university and external institutes only a few minutes’ walk away. The cafeteria Mensa Vita in the south of this campus is also within walking distance. It is located not far from the University Hospital.
The dormitory is also well connected to the bus network of the city of Aachen via the bus stops “Hörn Kastanienweg” and “Hörn Brücke”.
Parking spaces around the dormitory can be rented from the Studierendenwerk Aachen.
Accommodation
Our dormitory comprises four houses and offers living space for up to 344 students.
Rent includes electricity, water and heating costs.
Parking spaces and cellar compartments can be rented separately at the Studierendenwerk.

Shopping
In the immediate vicinity there is a kiosk and a small beverage shop.
Not far away, “Auf der Hörn” there are two bakery cafés.
An Aldi is easily accessible by bicycle or car. REWE and Netto are located towards the city center and can be reached by bus in about 10 minutes. For big purchases the Kaufland at the end of the Halifaxstraße is a good place.
A DHL Packstation is located directly in front of our dormitory. The kiosk also functions as a UPS access point.
